Tree Planting Checklist

There is no doubt that planting requires a number of items which will determine your comfort level and happiness during your contract. Equip yourself properly from the start, as most of the towns you will be visiting during your 'nights off' won't have any specialized equipment in stock. The first four items on the list are the most crucial. However, a well packed bag means a comfortable planter. Expect all of your equipment to undergo serious wear and tear. Never bring anything to camp that you wouldn't want getting dirty or well used. Remember, all of your stuff has to fit into one giant bag (like a hockey bag or duffle) to ensure that there is enough room for everyone's gear while traveling. Planters are welcome to drive themselves to camp, in which case they can pack as many lacrosse sticks, cots, and coolers as they want.
