We encourage all planters to learn as much as they can about the industry and tree planting more generally. Making your season a success is due in large part to the preparation, motivation, and determination you put forward. Without knowing what you're getting yourself into, it's almost impossible to set goals, stay positive, and be successful.

Also check-out our "Planting Checklist." New planters should make sure that they have their bag packed with all of the important gear. And if you haven't started already, get your boots purchased and worked in! As nice as they look when they're clean, your feet will thank you.
The HRI Planting Guide can also be found to the right. This bible will help any new planter get their feet wet, before they really get their feet wet. This welcome package contains all of the must-knows for first year planters, including what to bring, what to expect, and details relevant to this year's contracts.
