What We Do
Tree Planting
Heritage provides tree planting in any type of cut block and can plant any type of stock that nurseries may produce or the client wishes to use. Heritage also provides the client with a quality assessor who is responsible for keeping accurate records on the quality of the plant. A full-service planting camp and an “in bush” office that is environmentally engineered to reduce the impact on the environment through the use of low impact camping techniques will also be provided.
Heritage also requires at least one supervisor at the site of operation at all times who is responsible for coordinating tree delivery dates with the client, contract specifications, camp cohesion, camp selection and opening/closing dates.
Site Preparation
Heritage Reforestation provides a number of site-prep operations such as disc trenching, air blast spraying, raking and barrel and chain. All of our operations using heavy equipment have onboard GPS with mapping capabilities. Included with all heavy equipment operations is a support crew that ensures all projects get completed with unmatched quality.
Air Blast and Ground Chemical Spraying
Our air blast spraying operations are designed to minimize worker exposure while applying herbicides in rough terrain. Our focus is to minimize the cost of application, and provide a level of week control to specific areas that will allow the crop trees time to get “free and clear” of the competition. Heritage is also licensed for commercial groud chemical spraying in Ontario. The service provided will included a licensed foreman required to remain on the site at all times. The foreman will provided clients with safety, mapping and quality information.
Pre-Commercial and Sprout-less Spacing
Heritage also provides pre-commercial and sprout-less spacing with Stihl thinning saws with a herbicide applicator that can be installed on all popular bush saw modes. It is designed to fit on the bottom of the brush saw blade. During a spacing operation, Heritage Reforestation will require at least one foreman or supervisor at the operation site who is responsible for ensuring the operation is running efficiently, effectively and safely.
